Technical Support Engineer (German Speaking)

» Work Location: Transoft Solutions Europe - Rotterdam Office, The Netherlands

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Technical Support Engineer is a point of contact for our resellers and clients to assist them in requests regarding the installation and usage of the Transoft Solutions software. In this role you will provide premium support with a top customer experience in mind.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide a high quality of technical support in German via phone and email
  • Answer phone calls and emails to identify, analyze and resolve technical support questions.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to clients by accessing their systems via remote support software.
  • Log and document information in CRM tools.
  • Create content for Transoft Solutions software.
  • Write FAQ documents and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide technical product presentations and training to clients and resellers.

ABOUT YOU
You are an individual that can easily adopt new software on a technical level. You enjoy assisting our clients by providing them a working solution to their requests in a way they can stay productive in using the Transoft Solutions software. Ideally, you will have experience in working with computer aided design (CAD) software in an AEC firm. You have strong communication and presentation skills, strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently but also in a team.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong customer commitment and quality focus
  • Knowledgeable about the latest version(s) of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Knowledgeable about installing Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems.
  • Good technical troubleshooting and problem resolutions skills.
  • .
  • Strong written and oral communications skills in German and at least one of the following languages: English, Dutch, French.

Additional skills, knowledge and abilities:

  • Engineer/draftspersons (AEC) with developed 2D and 3D skills.
  • IT support specialist able to easily adopt new Transoft Solutions software.
  • Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  • Must be resourceful, dependable, detail-oriented, well organized, and a team player.

Reporting and Working Relationships:
The Technical Support Engineer will report to the Application Engineer and will collaborate with our technical support staff and developers in Canada.
